Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing specialized speech-language therapy services for students across multiple educational settings, this role requires a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist dedicated to supporting communication development from preschool through middle school. The position is on-site in the Baltimore area, serving community preschools and K-8 schools, with opportunities for full-time or part-time engagements and potential extension into summer programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology services to preschool, elementary (PreK-5), and secondary (6-8) students, addressing individual communication needs.
- Collaborate closely with school staff and families to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Provide supervision and guidance to a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) where applicable, ensuring quality support and adherence to best practices.
- Manage itinerant caseloads across multiple school sites, including community preschool locations and specific elementary and middle schools.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school district standards and Maryland professional licensure requirements.
- Adapt therapy approaches to diverse student populations within inclusive educational environments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with preschool, elementary, and secondary students in school settings.
- Ability to supervise and collaborate with SLP assistants.
- Strong organizational skills to manage itinerant schedules effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
Position Details:
- Location: Baltimore area, Maryland.
- Schedule Options: Full-time (37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday): Two positions. Part-time (30 hours/week, Monday-Thursday with option for Friday): One position.
- Contract duration varies: December 1, 2025 (or earlier) through January 9, 2026, with coverage possibilities beyond. February 16 to May 29, 2026, with potential extension through summer ESY (4 weeks in July). March 16 to June 18, 2026, with summer extension option.
